STEM Sports ® Football Curriculum Kit

The STEM Football curriculum is designed to pair strategic STEM-based activities with professional football history and current hot topics. STEM Football gives students the opportunity to get behind the sport they love with lessons centered around the innovation and technology behind gloves that receivers and defensive backs wear, in-game communication, and much more. STEM Football is an educational enrichment program made up of 8 modules and worksheets that align with Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core State Standards. Each STEM Football kit includes a teacher’s manual – that is administered easily – and reusable sporting and science equipment for the program to be fully implemented. This manual has two sets of lessons. One set for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, as well as another set of lessons for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

STEM Football kits can be used numerous times over several years. In addition to the teacher manual, a single STEM Football kit includes 6 youth size footballs; 6 foam footballs; 6 pairs of cutters gloves; 6 digital timers; 6 tape measures (25’); a pair of walkie-talkies; 1 headset; 1,000 craft sticks; 2 disc cones; 1 blindfold; 475 rubber bands; weight scale; 1 ball bag; 1 ball pump; and a set of inflation needles.
